Why Reface Your Kitchen Cabinets?

The Art of Refacing existing wood or mica kitchens can be transformed into a completely different look. New moldings, corbels, columns can be added and colored to an exact match. New drawer boxes, drawer glides and cabinet accessories can be installed.

Kitchens can be redesigned by reconfiguring the existing cabinets. Additional new cabinets can be added and colored to an exact match. Cabinets can also be modified in size to accommodate new appliances.

We reface bathroom vanities, built in wall units and dressers, library units and other pieces. Any cabinet in any room can be refaced.

The Process

Preparation

We mask and protect the interior of the cabinets, appliances, counters, floors and walls. We set up barriers and install exhaust fans to draw out the dust so that the house stays relatively clean. Click Here to read “Guide sheet to Prepare Your Kitchen”.

Refacing

The frames and side panels are recovered with a solid wood, such as oak, cherry, birch and others, or a mica laminate of your choice. New doors and drawer faces in wood, mica or thermo-laminate are installed. There is a wide selection of door and drawer styles. Any look such as French Country, Modern, Art Deco and others can be achieved

Stain & Finish

Our wood veneers, doors and drawers are unfinished which allows our customers to have the custom color of their choice. Wood tone, penetrating stains are followed by several semi-satin clear coats, to give the wood a furniture quality finish with depth to the wood grain. Solid stains can be clear coated or glazed.

Thermo-laminated material is not wood; it is a synthetic product that is heat molded to resemble wooden doors and drawers. This material comes in many solid colors.

Clean Up

New hinges and felt bumpers are installed. Protective paper, drop clothes and barriers are removed. We vacuum our way out.
